Thanked: 13249
Nothing can change it but a the right person on the right buffers can hide it pretty well
I will do that for you free of charge, but maybe one of the Canadian restore guys can match my offer, because shipping will get expensive with INS across the border..
The offer is there for you, it makes me sad to see an heirloom like that, I would give an eyetooth to have oneLast edited by gssixgun; 03-31-2014 at 03:11 AM.

Money is made every day. I would be happy to pay if it can be hidden through buffing alone. Thank you very much for the offer.

The generosity of the gentlemen on this site always amazes. I've done something similar on the first wedge I honed. Luckily, the razor was for practice purposes. Due to the gentlemen here, I am torn about posting the information of the "professional" that honed this razor. There are so many people on this site that provide excellent honing service. I am very proficient honing, but I would still not be will be comfortable accepting payment for honing, because there are far better options than myself. The professional in question should reevaluate his decision to accept payment until he further masters his craft.

I paid to have it shave ready and that's what I got. I wouldn't accept repayment anyways as it must have taken a lot of work. I would just like to move on.

Out of respect for Joseph, a true gentleman, I'm closing this thread. There is nothing else to see here. If there are any further developments of a positive nature, the thread will be reopened.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks to gssixgun for taking on the task of cleaning up the razor for me. I can't say enough about the good will showed towards me. These pics are from after buffing the razor and Glen said he will be setting the bevel next and getting it shave ready again for me. Again my family and I can't thank you enough Glen for all your hard work in restoring the look of our heirloom.
