    Default Razor id. Please help

    Hi guys
I got a razor but can not find anything about the maker of some history of this one.
He looks old and he got bone scales.
Only thing i can read is "oveyrout " and a mark of a swort or a knife.
Do some of you have any idea of the maker of date that its be?

A very nice Razor!! About the Beginning of 19th Century. There had been many Producers in that time, but im sure that one of the experts can help you, the saber mark looks rare too me, as i saw it not often on French Ebay and other places i use to investigate for my old frnech Razors.

Nice one Kaleroft! Definately french, this type of razor with no tail, straight scales, french, usually around 1810 give or take a few. Used a few of them once dialed in they are very good shavers Enjoy!

I did find a couple of Queyoul Cutlers but the dating wasnt right for this razor but it could be a father or grandfather?

That's a nice razor. I am a huge advocate for restoration but imo that one wasn't calling for a mirror polish. Well that's my two cents.. Ymmv

Razor design looks more modern than 1810ish to me, minus a tang, no experience with French razors though here.

Périgueux should be the town where the maker or vendor was from. Nice looking razor.

@Martin103 Wow, where do you find all the great documentation?
