Thanked: 603I would buy one from Brian Brown Custom Razors. Here's a photo of one of my favorites by him:
There is an elegance to the blade -- complemented by the simplicity of the scales -- which reminds me of the flatware put out on the tables of a "tony" New York restaurant, during the first half of the 20th century... in fact, the blade looks like a really swell butter knife (and I can easily imagine the thick, starched linen tablecloth and napkins). From the first time I saw this razor (it's one of four photos), I was smitten. But I don't have $500 to buy a razor... sigh.Last edited by JBHoren; 04-06-2014 at 02:49 AM.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

That is a very nice one, it reminds me a little of designs from the 1700s with its almost non existent heel. Does the spine come to a triangular sort of peak or is it just rounded? If it does peak then it surely got its inspiration from those old razors. Very nice comfortable looking smile.
