I still want one of those 10/8's. I think It's Joesph Elliot that made them, but don't quite remember. Jimmy has one IIRC.

    Filarmonica is obvious choice.
I can't believe no one has mentioned Japanese straights.

    I believe LZ6 did.

As for me, if I had the extra 500$ I would finish my grinding set up and make my own.

Joseph Elliot, Joseph Rodgers, and Wostenholm are the ones that come to mind for me that I have seen. I have a 19/16 Wosty, but not quite there. None of them $500 blades IMO though.

For $500 you could shave with a proglide for a year!

I would have no idea what to buy. $500 on a razor..... I'd have no balls left.

I think it was Rodgers. And if one was offered to me under $500 in NOS shape, I'd buy it.

Oh by the way, if they currently belong to you, I hate you.....j/k ;-)
That set is owned by a member. I don't recall who it is. He was asking like $3,500.00 for it in the classifieds IIRC. If I had the $ to spend I might have went for it. Most beautiful set I've seen.

Dylan, it is a Joseph Rodgers that a guy put on the bay for $50.00 buy it now. He lived a couple towns away from me and I met with him at the Dunkin Donuts and I didn't have to pay shipping. He even offered to buy me a coffee but I declined. It was his grandfather's in the original box. Had to hone a chip out but still a great piece. One of those cases of being in the right place at the right time.

With plastic scales no less ......... I love Heljestrands but I've paid less than half that for MK 32 Helje with ivory.
