    Default Help on identifying Bengall

Anyone know what type and approximate age of this Bengall? I am keeping original scales even though there are a couple of cracks. Functions and looks great also.

    Very nice razor there.

I love Bengall razors. I have two both of which are stamped T.R. Cadman.

Here's what I know of the Bengall history

Luke Cadman moved to Sheffield in 1740 and became apprenticed into the cutlery trade. He became a freeman of the Cutlers' Company of Hallamshire in 1748 and was granted the trademark "Bengall". Two of Cadman's sons followed him into the business. In the early 1870s, Thomas Radley Cadman (1833-1917) took over the firm.

I wonder if the absence of the T.R. Cadman stamp on your razor means your razor pre-dates his taking over the business?
As the world continues more crazy than cruel, he spins like a top on the end of his tool.
