    The Dovo Palisander gives good close comfortable shaves. It has become one of my favorites because of the elegant unadorned beauty of its blade shape and lustrous wood scales. It's the same blade as the Bismarck without the gold wash which was one of the reasons I bought it as a 2012 Xmas gift to myself. So the choice between the Palisander or the Bismarck boils down to personal preference. Both should perform equally well
