Thanked: 3228A rough translation of the maker is German Weapons and Bicycle Factory located in the town of Kreiensen which is now part of the city of Einbeck. Looks to be a bit away from Solingen. A quick search turned up ads from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Thanked: 0Thanks. Could the numbers '29 97' stamped in the tang of the razor represent the time of production e.g. week 29, 1897, or is it related to steel quality or something else?

Thanked: 3228Numbers stamped on the tang could mean virtually anything, unfortunately, and there is no real way of telling unless you had the company records. Getting a definitive date of manufacture for any razor is near impossible.
