there are several manufacturers that would make razors for hdwe companies, mail order businesses, retail firms, etc. in the USA theres many examples of Boker having done this. the blade of this one to me looks more like it could have been produced by Geneva cutlery or Ontario Cutlery, and simply labeled "Magneto Steel" being the catch phrase for marketing of the day. and again, the handles and bolsters supplied by either the cutlery firm making there own handles or bought from another firm, very common practice.
as a sidenote: the manufacturers with the practice of making goods for other companies often didn't use their known trademarks. I've had boker made goods that you woudnt know were boker save for styling and a simple tree logo stamped at the very end of the tail, inconspicuous. The Saw manufacturer and steel producer Disston would rarely put his mark and common medallion on secondary goods. He often used the badge "Warranted Superior" for such goods and even etched the logos of the hdwe stores or retailers he supplied to on his blades.Last edited by silverloaf; 05-15-2014 at 08:06 PM.

What is HDWE?
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
