    Old saying, if it works ........ don't fix it. I'd wait until it wasn't giving as comfortable a shave if it was mine.

    I concur with Jimmy. If it works for you, leave it alone for now. Or you can stop by the house and let me take a look at it. Revisors are fine razors, and Herr Kronenberg offers excellent service.

    It depends what the defects were. 17x isn't a lot so....

    If it's just an unevenness in the bevel that's nada and doesn't affect the shave in the least as you have found out. In that case just wait until the razor needs honing.
