You could get the steel blade work by Bruno how ever you want he will make it or someone else who does steel only,
Then over to Gssixgun or similar for the finish and scales work.
I have seen some very nice blades produced through this way and well worth a look.
Thruely custom and you can get those that specialise in each discipline to do their magic for you.
Food for thought.Saved,
to shave another day.

Things change I guess. When I wanted a custom from Robert I went to his website and called him on the phone. We discussed it and I emailed a photo of my pencil drawing with a rough blade profile. The monkey tail was his idea, and I love it, and so were the scales I left that to him. Say all that to say, if you see a custom maker whose blades are attractive to you, contact him and tell him what you want. You won't have anything to worry about unless he says YES.!
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think regardless of the custom specs the person who makes it would leave their own style imprint.
So figure out whose custom razors are closer to what you want and contact those people if they take this kind of work. As you have found out not everybody does, but I think you need to be a bit more targeted than you currently are.

Yes, you are right.
I love the works of Charlie Lewis and especially the primitive ones. I would like to make a one-piece (Japanese-like) primitive straight razor with some particular decorations on it.
I have contacted Charlie but unfortunately he cannot take a custom order at the moment.
I carefully check the works of the smiths that the members propose in this thread. When I find the one that makes razors close to what I want I will contact him to ask for my particular custom.
Thank you all for the answers!
