Remembering might be a bit of a stretch. I could do a little checking of records and come up with an accurate story. For the most part the answer is no. It isn;t that I have that many just that there are some things that are more important than others. I have limited space in my head and it is soooo disorganized.

I have to agree with RezDog. Insignificant information is never stored in my memory. Don't ask me what day it is ,the time, or how many razors I own (let alone where i got them) With the exception of gifts I would have to look it up. Now ask me what size the nuts are on a 3406 Cat starter or the u joint bolts on a KW drive train and I could tell ya :<0)

I honestly had a great memory for this at first, down to how much I paid for each one. that lasted for the first couple hundred and i would pick one up from a drawer or box and instantly recalled the details like rainman. after going through thousands i cant remember jack about the details save for a few!

Yes, I'm up to about 40 blades, and I remember the where, how and how much for each. I generally have a good memory, but at just about a year into this, it's not really that much of a stretch to recall the circumstances.

And I'll never forget the where, when and how much of that darned cursed Double Duck Goldedge.....the razor that bites us!!!

Funny about memory and that sort of thing. As a kid, reading The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes early on, I was impressed by a part where Watson is amazed that Holmes could be so conversant in esoteric, arcane facts, yet so totally clueless when it came to common knowledge the average person took for granted.

When Watson asked him about the seeming contradiction Holmes explained that there is only finite space for the memory to store knowledge and he immediately culls any useless knowledge from his mind, to have ready access to what would further his crusade against crime.

So having read that, and being greatly impressed with it, I've tried to do that in my own head. On another note, when I first got out of the union hall to my first ironwork job at 19 years old, I thought that I would remember every job I ever went on. Wasn't long before I couldn't remember one from another except for the big long term jobs. Memory, it's like "Rosebud" if you know what I mean, and just in case you don't .......

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Many famous minds always dressed the same every day, Einstein always wore the same grey suit, no socks, and his famous unkempt hair. Many other famous people, Steve Jobs etc., always dressed the same so that they didn't waste any brain power trying to manage a wardrobe or have to decide what to wear.

So as we all expected JimmyHAD, you're in good company...
