    and another website both show that L. Levenson's Sons was a dry goods manufacturer in the city of Boston.

    I'm guessing that Boker made the Boker 1056 for that company. Maybe the deal fell through so they marked out the name and sold them all to another company/retailer???

    I'm still doing some research, but this company was at least in business 1905-1909.

    In 1921 the address that once housed L. Levenson's Sons now housed a business named Berger Dry Goods and it was in business until at least the 30s. Berger Dry Goods could have been there earlier or another business. Not known yet.
