No worries, it happens. Once you've got a little more time under your belt, you'll manage to avoid situations where the razor is in anything other than perfect safety - it just happens that way (i.e., no need for arcane plans about how to keep it safe, etc).
I pinged the edge off of a razor when I first started shaving, flicked the razor off and it hit the end of the faucet. ....PINGGGG! ugh.
