On a side note - Classic has them at 25% off right now. That makes a 7/8 $217

It's not so good when that is the only time they will reply. They did you good with that issue but to not reply to other emails................I have an issue with that. I have seen their work & they do good work but like you said " how can this pass out of a so called artisans hands to quality control and on to a vendor and nobody caught it ( or is it they just didn't care) This is not a one time situation and needs to be corrected fast."
You also mention this "There have been numerous threads on different forums with these same issues lately and Hart has failed to respond."
They seem to have some issues going on but if I had a company like that, I would be fast to respond to EVERY email, no matter the subject. They do make a good razor so I'm wondering what is their problem?

It seems to be like everything else in the world today. Any way is the good way. Retailers never check their stock. It comes in and goes out.
The only answer is send it back and then never buy that brand again. if enough people do that they will changes their ways or disappear. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Yep! And at that price point there are a few other blade makers who have received good reviews and no negative ones that I've seen like the aforementioned M. Waterhouse along with the Portland Razors, and Brandonisios. I like my Hart blade but have no reason whatsoever to purchase another one. Well, not until I've bought every one i can find in that price range made in the USA But that will be several years and many centavos down the road.
