Thread: DOVO to stop making straights?

It is sad that this thread has sunk to this level. Let's be honest here, each forum has its biases and allegiances. The vendor who has circulated the information on dovo happens to be from another competing camp. In my view, whatever each side says against the other should be taken with a grain of salt.

That's why you can not find any of the negative posts about his business on SRP contrary to his lies.

My previous post is not bashing a vendor - I have not commented on his vending but on his multiple attacks on the forum. Being a vendor is not a shield/free pass for such behavior and we already let it be once four years ago.

Or one could fact check and find out whether one of them lies and the other doesn't.
In my view, proper seasoning is far superior to indiscriminately taking grains or fistfuls of salt for good measure.

Another case in support that the only way to stop a bully is to stand up to them.

The lies and smearing of SRP were taken down after I pointed to the verifiable facts that disprove them.
Previously we had ignored them for years and have kept deleting every post bashing that vendor, with the result of him being only emboldened.
It is unfortunate that I had to dirty this forum and expose some of the slime, and I left out 90% out, but our previous approach had not only failed but appears to have had the effect of encouraging his nastiness.

Now he has shifted his attack towards me only because I refused to roll in the mud with him.

From the very beginning he told me he can say anything he wants because I can't prove anything. The truth is that I can prove everything I say if I am willing to take SRP down to his level (or in court). There is a lot of dirt that we keep private because we do not want to be the 'TMZ' which according to him is one of his preferred sources for their 'deadly accuracy'.

I was asked to find some allegedly deleted threads proving that his product was targeted (after he was banned). When I found those threads about the product publicly visible I was told that it was a different thread that spelled the product differently and it is supposed to have originated in eastern europe. I found nothing else under the spelling he gave me and I think that browsing through more than 100,000 threads to find out which one have IP addresses in a specific country is a ludicrous demand. But that is apparently evidence that the thread was deleted to keep his product unknown to the members of SRP. Which we certainly could do simply based on his past lies about SRP - I still don't understand why he feels entitled to being promoted on this site after he has been publicly smearing it. But, not only had we ignored his lies, we actually have treated him as every other vendor which everybody can verify.
In his warped mind if a thread is deleted and the reason is not made public that is proof that the reason is targeting his store product regardless of the dozens of other threads about the same product and his store that are still visible.

He then brought up a member who was allegedly banned for competing with one of the SRP vendors. Again, because we do not make public people's dirty laundry many people simply lie about it.
The truth is that the member in question had a long history of second, third, fourth, etc. chances despite being a serial abuser. Here is the actual story - it started by him selling razors with visible chips as 'shave ready' and claiming that nobody knows what they are talking about and he is targeted unfairly, continued through verbal abuses of members in forum discussions, creating a sockpuppet account to promote himself as an independent party, trying to create a hype of his products by asking people to post positive reviews, violations of the 'no-advertising outside of the designated forums', and few others. Eventually we have to stop being baby sitters and hold people accountable - when a temporary ban fails to send the message we use a permanent ban.

So, yes we will continue to maintain the standard of civility of this site and will keep the dirt isolated and private as much as possible. I hope to never again have to expose somebody's lies, but if I have to I am not afraid of making another exception.
