OTOH, I'm reasonably sure if someone was to buy one of these beauties they would have no problem selling it if it didn't suit them.
I've seen the Wacker Chevalier pop-up on eBay a few times, there's usually a few others as well, but like you, I'm finding there's pretty much nothing in the way of straight razors that's yanking my chain right now...and I'm good with that!

I was worried that Wacker would be similar to Dovo or, worse in my experience, like Hart.
I too believe Revisor is selling some very nice razors. I have seen the posts on Harts quality concerns too. My Hart is one if the best razors I have. I love the heft. Mine takes a very nice edge and holds it. The scales needed finishing when I receivered the razor but a couple of soaks in Danish oil and I could not be happier with my Hart.

My Chevalier is about three years old and a prized possession - absolutely no problems with honing and, apart from keeping an eye on the spike, is a great shaver. I was looking at the home site just yesterday and almost everything is marked as out of stock with no indication of re-stock dates. When I've looked before, there was always an indication of how long the wait would be.

If you can get one, I'd recommend you do.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

I am one of the posters who has made comments about the Hart quality. I have to say that this new replacement 7/8 they sent gave me a wonderful shave today
One tired old Marine- semper fi, god bless all vets
