Certainly fixable.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Yeah... It has almost a flat spot in the center. Maybe a tiny frown but no light comes through when on a flat surface. I guess I am going to have to send it out to Glen. I bought it to learn to hone with it but I am not sure what to do with it now. Thanks for all the help guys.

Well...I gave ti the old college try. I have no idea how, but I got the frown out and I really didn't remove to much medal. I didn't spend that much on the razor so it was worth a shot. I am still in a weird part of honing where I know what I want the end goal to be and I get there but their is really no method to my honing. I kind of just hone until I "feel" like its time to go to the next hone. I can't really figure out the thumb pad test or any other sure way. Thanks for all the help.

Absolutely unfixable
I don't think I have a bengall that has even hone wear.
They still hone up and shave just fine.
I'm going to need a bigger bathroom

Stick with it your so close. Seriously frown gone good work. How is your bevel set?? I will bet good based on frown removal. If yes move on up to the next hone. 20 circles each side check. Repeat till it starts to cut arm hairs. Look practice a little more till you send it out to Glen. See how close you can get. Nobody ever got good by sending it out. Glen is going to send it back the best it can be. Do a little more to see how close you can get. I have faith in you. A smiling blade is definitely a keeper. Good work . Check for guys that meet in your area. A honing lesson will tighten up any loose ends. You bought it to learn on so do that. Unless you need another blade right now. There is nothing like learning to do it yourself. Glen has videos and google circles and Glen for the repeatable results you can feel.
Your only as good as your last hone job.

This razor has no business being a good shaver. It has horrendous hone wear and it looks like it's ready for the bin. On the other hand it shaves like a dream. Of course I wouldn't recommend anyone go out and look for razors this far gone To be honest, I had this one sitting around as a letter opener for a couple of years and when I decided to have a crack at honing it as a challenge I was really surprised by what happened. The bevel set on a 1000 Shapton GS in no time and within half an hour I had a top shaver. When I think of the time I've spent on reasonable looking razors that just wouldn't go right.....
