Bengall hone wear.
Need help fellas. I bought this razor of the bay for 32 bucks. Over all a pretty nice razor but it has uneven hone wear heavy towards the toe. My question is, hone it like it is or try to even it out. It hasn't really affected the blade besides a small amount of smile. Thanks.

You will need to use a rolling X stroke when honing but I would not waist the steel to cut that little of a smile out. They are good shaving razors, hone and shave away.

Redcane,
If the razor were mine, I would hone it as is and enjoy the shave. These Bengall 6/8 razors are hard to come by. Good stuff.

Thanks guys. I will hone it and use it. Next question. Can I use "swooping x strokes" vs. Rolling x-strokes (SRP library gives examples). Thanks again.

Hmmm.... Am I imagining a slight frown in the centre as well as the desirable smile .
Have you put it on a flat surface to see the edge shape. ?The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
