Hi guys. So i finally got my poor mans wet shave setup. gold Dollar "wet shave products" carbon fiber scale 6/8" x 3" razor, Scalpmaster 2.5" strop with linen, and Omega soap and brush kit. So far im most satisfied with the soap and brush, probably the best quality product out of my setup but hey, it all cost me around $40.

Anyway, this razor came "sharp", now i know its not shave ready, i knew it wouldnt be. The "shave ready" Gold Dollar blades were about twice the price. Thing is, i COULD shave with it if i really wanted to granted there would be alot of blood and possibly sweat and tears. It seems ALMOST shave ready. So my question is, could i possibly get this thing shave ready with just this strop. I feel like it doesnt need a stone. If so, should i use the linen side first?
