Well I actually did look. Owned a few BB razors when he first started. They all were far out of my budget, not looking to spend a mortgage payment on a razor.

Price point is why I went this route also . No denying there are many talented craftsmen out there, but for the price of a new production razor I don't feel bad asking for this as a gift .

yes, but those are really low production custom and custom class razors. Actual factory mades are more limited. Besides Hart it's rather slim.

Very nice, thanks for sharing and can we assume that a Shave Report will be forthcoming?
    Soon?, as in hours?

6/8 or 7/8 and what model is that?

This is a 6/8 model. I shaves with it that night. I'm happy to report the shave was a very pleasant shave. I really like the placement of the top jimps, all razors should have them there.

I just looked at the website. They look unchanged. I'm still not crazy about the aesthetics of that heel but at least it is a unique style. The Leviathan is listed as a square point but it appears to be a spike point.

Please let us know how it shaves.
2/17/15 The heel has been changed and the Gustave model is now called Siren and comes with jimps. Check Portland's site for more info. Razors look very nice... I ordered one.

I really do wish I knew about the change in the stock thickness before I bought mine. I'm not real happy about the two layers of tape to hone it.

Nice Razor Wid: PRC has made some nice changes to their 2015 razor line-up. Scott's learning his trade well, listens to what the customers want, and he's manufacturing a very nice straight razor.
