Many thanks to all for the great info provided here. Also thanks to those sharing their own Pumas, all beautiful razors.

So, what have I learned today? First of all I do not know the difference between German and Italian writing. Hope this does not offend anyone. Heck, I am still trying to learn to read English. Second, and more importantly, it appears this razor was most likely acquired (purchased/gift) in Europe during the time of WWI by my grandfather. Now, once I have this razor restored and properly honed, I will think of my grandfather when I use it and wonder what life might have been like for him at the time he obtained this razor.
