I'd go Aust. I have. 5/8 & a 6/8 as well as a Boker 6/8, and I prefer the Austs
Just call me Harold

I own a Hart and an Aust. Honed and shaved with a few Bokers.
You can't make a bad decision here. IMHO, the value leader is the Aust, but every time I shave with the big Hart, I have to smile. Expensive? Yes, but it's a helluva shaver.

I would prefer a vintage razor, but out of your selection, I would say Aust

I would say Aust, no contest. Quality blanks (the same as Böker), ground and finished by a craftsman.

Get an Aust. But you may want to wait for these to become publicly available (sans these particular scales, of course).

Well, I've made my decision. Went with the Hart 7/8 satin square point with walnut scales. I was still undecided until Classic Shaving announced a 25% off sale on some of the Hart's through Nov. 21st. That was enough to sway me. I still intend to get another Aust 6/8 Spanish Point soon; especially if that worked spine becomes available. But until then, I will enjoy the meat cleaver!
I'll post pics when I receive it. I'm sure it will be similar to all of the other Hart pics that have been posted but I don't see the walnut scales too often.Last edited by str8tlkr; 11-18-2014 at 01:34 AM.

Thanked: 375You'll like the HART, I have the same one in the black resin scales. My only beef with it is the tang is so much larger than most razors of the same size, making it more difficult to strop IMO.
I have an Aust 6/8 Spanish point too and as everyone has said a great razor.CHRIS
