I have just one TI (a 7/8" limited edition).
I can't complain about it, in fact I think it is just perfect! I rehoned it without any issues. I know that in the past there have been issues with TI, but it's been a while since I've heard complaints about them. I wouldn't buy the 5/8"s though, I saw a selection of them recently, and I though that the scales were too big for the blades. What I really like about TI is that they are the only traditional company out there who has innovated in the last few years: they are using this steel they call C135.

Thanked: 8I can attest the C135 steel is great and while it "feels" no different it absolutely holds an edge longer than most other razors. I believe from what I've read that is the advantage of the C135 steel as well as the steel itself being tempered better hence the "improved" edge retention.

Thanked: 33i think you can still buy the old, historic steel from uk, if you do not trust the new c135

Thanked: 45I still love my TI C135 5/8. I often use my other razors in the rotation just waiting to get back to that one. Something about it just seems to work well with me....it holds its edge wonderfully...and I love the rams horn scales. Just a winning combo.
