    84mm seems extremely long for a razor edge. You could almost cut your ear shaving your chin.

    I actually just keep a few old razors in the shop and use them as reference when making razors, no since complicating things with formula's.

    Yes.

    just measured a KeenCutter. Overall is 137mm with a 73mm blade length.

    I would apply the rule of thirds to the 56mm tang and then place the pivot 18.5mm in from where the blade and the tang meet.

    If the drawing was of a stub tail then that in itself would be a different drawing and a different question as to where the pivot hole should be.
