No need to hone it for me. I'll take care of a refresh. Looking forward to receiving it. Thanks.

A great looking str8, nice score
The swastika (flat not offset on the angle) is the symbol on lots of Japanese maps for Budist temple locations aswell as a sign of good fortune
Very doubtful also that this is a Nazi propaganda item
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

I've got exactly the same razor, and to be honest I believe it has nothing to do with nazi. Most likely it was manufactured after WWII and it is stupid to write on nazi razor "for barber's use" in English and not German ..

I agree Traskrom. I don't think it has Nazi origins or there would be nothing on there that didn't reflect the times. There'd be an eagle, Swastika or say something like 'fuhrer' on it. I still think it's a lovely, interesting razor and I'm proud to have it in my collection.

There’s one on the bay if you want it bad enough. I also find it curious that it’s stamped in English, not German.

It has nothing to do with Germany. Or with Nazism. The swastika ('manji' in Japanese) is a Buddhist symbol in Japan (and much of Asia). On a Japanese map it will mark the location of a Buddhist temple...

It's use in Asia is not uncommon. In this case it's association with religon is being used for a symbol of quality... sort of like having a form of a cross on older european goods.

The buddhist swastika was reversed from the nazi swastika I believe, but I’m no expert. But I’m pretty sure that they didn’t wear helmets like stamped on that tang.
