A couple weeks ago I got a Styledge on Ebite, red celluliod scales with 3 pins and inlay. Very much like the one on Bill Ellis's site in the collecter page.

Mine has some light pitting and tarnish but cleaned up nice and sharp Very happy with it.

I have a Bresnick Dubl Duck "Shrimp," which no one seems to have heard of.

A bit off topic, more of a history question. When did DD stop producing altogether? I did a search, but there doesn't seem to be a thread devoted solely to the history of DD or any vintage razor company.

They're still around. They make dog grooming supplies nowadays. C-Mon is still around as well, as is Clauss (makes scissors).

So beau brummel was a sub-brand of dubl duck? Or did bresduck just later buy the beau brummel brand?

Puma, Boker and Henckels are also still around, but I could not tell you how each company's current blade compares to those sold 50 or 100 years ago.

As for DD models, you're forgetting one of the "wedge" variations, the Wonderwedge. I've seen both the Wonderwedge and Satinwedge models, which would suggest that there must also be a Goldwedge out there too, but for some reason I've never seen that model at all.

There was also the pumaduck, which had puma logo scales and a long dd-style blade that barely fit in the scales, and which had "puma" on one side of the shank and the two ducks and "bresduck" on the other side of the shank. They're not common but they turn up every now and then. Mine shaves more like a duck than a puma, FWIW.

Beau Brummel was an independent maker of razors and they were sold widely. They just had some arrangement with Pearlduck and they became exclusive distributer for the BBs in the U.S from that point on. You will notice those BBs have the address of DD in Jamaica, N.Y on them which the others didn't have and they used scales similar to the pearlduck DDs (the cracked ice ones)

I've got one of those and what a great shaver it is. It seems that any razor I've gotten that had Bresnick, Bresduck or Pearlduck on the tang has been a superlative shaver regardless of what was on the other side.
