NOS 'The Conquerer' Razor - Any thoughts on manufacturer?
I was gifted a nice, NOS razor today and thought it was a little strange it didn't have a makers or manufactures mark.
I'll get a photo of the actual razor & box up soon. (added below in post #5)
The only photo and link I've found was on SRP from another user who found one in the past - No info other than the photos though...
Here's a shot of one side from the previous post I found. On the other side of the tang is GERMANY
The NOS blade is 3/4 inches, and the original cost on the box is embossed $3.00
Any guesses?

Someone like Martin103 would probably be the man to ask. He is pretty knowledgeable.

I've no idea as to the provenance, but that does not look like a NOS razor to me.

Here we go with a few photos.
Going off the price on the box, I wonder if this wasn't a US model that was brought into the states from Germany...
Either way I was looking for a 6/8 rounded toe razor and this thing came out of nowhere.
Not a bad day.

Thanked: 3225Now that looks NOS to me, very sweet find. The razor is stamped Germany and the $3.00 price new seems to indicate it pre dates Germany's post WWII partition. You might want to search who used the trade mark "The Conqueror" to find out who made it. Enjoy the razor.

I found this in John Walter's German Bladesmiths pub by Koll Moll:
Nothing was listed under 'The Conqueror'...Last edited by tab; 01-11-2015 at 08:47 PM.

Thanked: 3225Apparently Carl Eikhorn did make straight razors http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...le-advice.html . Learn something new every day as I always associated Eickhorn with swords and daggers but not straight razors.
