Thanked: 45Filarmonica Sub Cero 13 - Thoughts?
I just purchased one of these for a pretty penny...but it has blue translucent scales which I am in love with and it is NOS...so it appears to be in fantastic condition from the pictures I have seen. I keep hearing a LOT of hype about these razors and am curious what the "why" behind this epic mythology happens to be? I am sure its a great shaver...but they command a hefty price given their availability relative to some others out there (they are fairly easy to come by).
This will be my 6th in the collection in as many months now, and I love all of my razors currently. I have a couple of go-to razors and I am sure this will be among them. I am not concerned with the price paid as I know I can get it back (most if not all of it) should I decide to sell.

I have yet to hone or use a sub cero but i have been wanting a 13.
I have honed doble temple 14's and the smaller sizes but never a sub cero. The doble temple razors take an amazing edge.

Noah puts one hell of an edge on his razors, you'll love it.

Thanked: 45So I hear! I am very excited to get my hands on it. That royal-blue color is my favorite by far...so just about anything in that color catches my eye. The gold wash, condition of the blade against those blue scales make for a great contrasting and complimentary color scheme to me. Just very pleasing to my eye...and I am sure it will bring equal enjoyment to my face!

That's a great looking razor for sure. Very nice etching. I wondered if in post #1 you were referring to that particular Sub Cero. Does the name refer to the steel being quenched at freezing temperatures?
