I really believe that they are the best of the readily available new SRs, in terms of quality and style. I have two, and both were great learning tools.
If I would give you one tip, it would be not to be too quick to jump on getting another. You may want to spend time thing about different grinds, vintages, etc. By the way, this is do as I say, not as I do adviceJust call me Harold

Thanked: 4My RA 7/8 french tip is my daily shaver for 6 months and counting. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely purchase again. MY only regret is I didn't buy a 6/8 razor as well.

I'm curious...are you saying you now think you would prefer a 6/8 over the 7/8 or that you would like a 6/8 as an addition...I ask because I'm thinking my next purchase could well be the 7/8, but, admittedly, have never used one. How do you like it? Is it the only razor you've used, etc.
Thanks...again, just curious.

I appreciate your counsel...I have a number of razors, 5/8, 6/8, full-half-quarter's, several of each...(1-wedge. I really like this one and would agree, (within the limits of my experience of course, 7/8 years), that they're pretty high up on the razor shelf.
Thanks again!
