Thread: globe razor

Im not home at the moment, but the other side says something like "this razor was produced in soligen with the finest steel of the world"

I have two Globusmen in my restore pile and on both the reverse (pile) side of the tang is stamped with:

THIS WONDERFUL RAZOR IS
PRODUCED AT SOLINGEN WITH
THE FINEST SILVER STEEL

Globusmen razors usually tend to say something like this. However, Globusmen razors tend to be elaborately decorated (often too much gold and whatnot for my taste), which yours is not; but then again, the blade etching may very well have been coloured in in gold. But whatever it is, that is a mighty fine looking razor. Nice size, in good shape and with three pin scales (which usually points at slightly higher end of the production line). Looks like a quality Solingen made razor to me.
