I like everything about it. I find the fact that someone could have used it before going to the ball in 1917 very interesting.

Dang, After practicing that two step for weeks I was committed to go and forgot. I wonder if they missed me.

To answer your first question . . . This was a straight razor with a replaceable blade, not a disposable blade. It was meant to be honed and stropped just as you would any razor. These were originally sold as a boxed set containing two blades. One blade could always remain shave ready and could be installed as needed. The extra blade was stored in a nickel plated sleeve in the box. This set also included a toothed sleeve that could be slid over the blade for the purpose of making it a safety razor.

Thanks for that info Walt. Now I've got to find a correct box.

Pretty cool! I picked up a Universal LF&C razor off Ebay last weekend and then a bare blade Universal from LF&C! Missed a nice LF&C a couple weekends ago at the last second

I don't think so? The pictures showed that it had some discoloration/pitting near the spine at the toe.

By the way, if you've got your eye on a particular CT made razor, PM me and tell me to stay away. I've got so many razors now I don't know what to do with them. Look at this as intervention for my RAD. Thank you for your support.

I am in the mid 20's myself...lol! If the price is low enough, I will try to grab CT made razors, but I don't go crazy over them. I've gotten good shaves from Challenge Cutlery, I have 2 here and a 3rd on the way. I may have a small crack in one of my Hartford Cutlery razors, may have used too much pressure on the stone when I did an X Stroke
