Thanked: 45My First Friodur!
My entry into the Friodur world...and also my first purchase from everybody's favorite auction site! The razor is exactly as described and accurate 100% to the pictures provided. The blade is in fantastic condition, as are the scales. All in all I could not be happier, especially at the price paid (I was expecting to pay a bit more for something so close to NOS). Shave ready as well when it walked in the door. Inox here I come!

Thanked: 237My two friodurs are out for honing. I have the 472 round point and an 11 V. I'm excited to get them back. Yours looks like a good one to me!

I hope that yours will turn out as well for you as mine have for me. I have 9 from 9/16 (89 1/2) to 7/8 (17 1/2) and all shave well and are easy to maintain.

You will enjoy that 472. I know I enjoy mine. Wish I had the original scales.

Thanked: 4827I have to confess, I have bought way more of these than I need. The Henckels brand is my favorite both in carbon steel and stainless. It is a slippery slope so enjoy it, it is your first, there are many many more waiting.

Thanked: 45The one thing I had no idea about on this 472 was the spine work. It is a very nice touch of detail on this blade....it is certainly going to be one of my favorites I can tell (ok ok...they are all my favorites....)

Thanked: 52Got a pair of 72 1/2's and a 451 all three very good shavers and are my travel-camping razors. I find them easy to hone and to shave with. That 472 you have there is VERY nice, congrats on a great score!

Thanked: 118I have a 472 and a 72 and both are excellent shavers. One of them (I forget which) has the same detail on the spine as yours. Friodurs also have probably my favorite scales for the more modern production razors, that golden French ivory. I am sure you will find yours to be a great shaver once it is properly honed!
