Makes not a hill of beans of differance between new blades or old blades IMO,if a new made blade is made from qualitly steel, honed properly.
One would never know the diff betweeen vintage and new,

True enough, if the new razor grinder can match the old masters. Generations of teaching, learning, and indentured work went into the best of vintage razors. For instance, who can grind anything comparable to a big Palmera?

They are both good razors. Choose the one that you prefer and buy from a reputable vendor.

The divi best quality 6/8 or the theirs issued 6/8 with faux tortoise scales. Any thoughts?
Thiers-Issard. You can't go wrong with one of those.
