Thanked: 25If I work OT, I usually buy some razors/soaps, etc. Gets bad when I am at work on OT in the evening and start playing on Ebay...lol...got 6 razors one night! Lets see...14 hours of double time yesterday plus 2 hours time and a half last week, and then 8 hrs of doubletime this coming weekend...time to go shopping!!
I have a lot of razors, but some are because I am collecting razors from CT. I have been trying to buy and use a wide variety of razors to see what I like and don't like as research to get a custom razor made down the road. Wider, smiling blades with a half hollow seem to work best on my face. Sharp square points don't seem to work well with my soft fat face. I will probably sell the ones I don't use and narrow down the pile, or re scale them and clean them up more before I sell some off. Rounded points are good too, so the last 3 razors at least have been round points (2 Henry's X a 5/8 and 6/8 and 1 Gottleib Hammesfahr 6/8).

I'm generally not a fan of rounded points, don't know why, but never have really taken to them, I prefer the spike points.
As always, there is an exception to every rule, and in terms of a great shaver, this is the one round point that is in my frequent rotation, a W&B 7/8 round point:

Thanked: 25Very nice! I like the looks of a sharp point, but my face usually gets nicked a few times with them! Shaving in the morning before work, I am not always as awake as I should be! The round point and smiling blades are usually more sleepy shaving friendly.
