    Thanks Tom!

Turns out that Doynes father - Lewis Ernest Hayden, born 1893 died 1953 started the Beauty Supply Company. According to the 1910 census his father, Schuyler, was a carpenter and Lewis was a paper hanger. He married Mabel and they had two daughters, Helen and Doyne.

In the 1940 census he is recorded as being the proprietor of a Beauty and Barber Supply Store.

So somewhere between 1911 and 1940 he stated the business. He would have been 17 in 1910 so I would guess that 1920 - 1940 is a better guesstimation!

    Regards,
    Neil

Here is a picture of my old razor. Six point five inch full-stretched length. There is an insignia of a crossed key on one side of it's tang. On the other side written "FRIEDR. HERDER. ABR. SOHN, 55", and one As (Spade) symbol, "SOLINGEN GERMANY", followed by a crossed key.
Any information about this razor would be appreciated.
    Thanks and regards, (Syam)

    Thanks, Silverloaf.

According to Solinger's argument here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...tml#post859908,
we can deduce that my razor was made between 1727 -1848, because it has both Crossed-Key and Ace of Spade.
    Is it fair enough?

no. if it has the ace of spades logo it was made AFTER 1727, if it has the crossed keys it was made AFTER 1848. and then the name being labeled as it is would mean it was made sometime SINCE 1904 or SINCE 1939 from what i can gather from that thread
