I must admit, if I have another RAD burst, it will be Henckels...love this #14, but the #17's are calling as well.
Got this one three weeks ago, a Henckels G. Hoppe #14, its exceeded all my expectations:

I am just finishing honing up (as I write this!) on a Heckles that I just finished restoring. It is an old one. Shoulder-less No. 66 with original blonde horn scales. Best I can tell is that it is from around 1884 or later based on the stamp, but definitely prior to the early 1900's. I'll post pics after I shave with it today.
Rhensley's is from 1875 to about 1884 when the stick figures changed from what information I can dig up. Nice razor!Last edited by Wolfpack34; 05-13-2015 at 09:46 PM.

Thanked: 4822My RAD has been fairly concentrated on Henckels for some time. I pick up the odd Sheffield here and there but every day I do a search on the bay for new listing for Henckels razors. There are a lot of different ones for sure. The old ones are pretty rare finds, and are the Rapide safety razors. The have been in business since the late 1700's. I have one of their 250th anniversary razors. It's a specialized RAD, although I have not had the affliction for as long as Tom.
