I started about 6 months ago with straight shaving and purchased a 4/8 used and a new 5/8 Aust. Just moved up to a Boker and Aust 6/8 and like them. If it feels good stay with them. You may want at some point in the future to try a larger blade. Part of the fun of shaving.
