    Default Red Point razor

I ended up 'winning' a razor I hadn't quite expected to...but, for forty-something dollars I am now waiting for this thing to arrive: A "Red Point" razor.

If anyone have any information at all about it I'd love to learn more.
I quite seriously bought it just due to the combination of 'looks'a and perceived low cost.

Looks like some hone wear on the edge but it doesn't look TOO bad...

Good? Bad? Worth to have it honed up I hope...

Thanks, older than I thought. The razor looks pretty decent for being 80ish years old!

Nice looking razor at a good price I believe. Smaller than I like but very nice.

I saw this razor and watched it. I thought it looked in pretty good condition for its age and your pictures seem to confirm this. Should clean up well. Nice buy.

the razor is very nice and is in good condition(honewear isn't so high) There is only 1 method to discover if it is a good razor: HONE AND TRY IT!!
Usually during honing i feel a lot of things, later confrimed by the shave

Thanks all - I've decided to indeed send it out to be honed professionally when it gets here. Excited to see how it will shave

What stamp is on the other side of the tang: Utica Knife Razor Co. or Anton Wingen Jr?
On the box I see Anton Wingen Jr.
