Thanked: 2Ok then, overwhelming consensus says that they should stay as is. So it shall be.
Thanks for your input. Quick question, has anyone seen a yellow set of ator scales?
I remember when I found my 1st ator someone mentioned that original blonde scales exist but Iv had a quick look and not been able to see any yet

Thanked: 498Hmmmm I cant recall.
Har... Must of been you, I'm perfect dont ya know.
Yes they do exist and they are glorious. A member a while back had a multi day set of those beauties. To me they are the Holy grail of ATOR's. And would gladly trade my soul or any major organ to obtain.

IMO putting a blond scale on an ERN would be very much like putting a dress on a bulldog.

I have only seen some posted here once, it seems. TBH, you are better off in the long run with the black ones, IMO.
The yellow ones were celluloid, which tends to deteriorate in that color. Nice razors!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Love that pair and the scales, me too. Swapping them out would be like scrapping a mahogany wheel from a Series 1/E-Type Jag and replacing it with a competition Yugo aftermarket wheel from the JC Whitney catalog. D'uh, IMHO.
You can always find a nice old felt-lined leather-covered two-razor box for a few quid on a vintage junk quest if you are ever so moved."We'll talk, if you like. I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk."
