Thanked: 1Western grind kamisori
I'm in the market for one of these. I have seen a few from Shavesmith that I like the look of. Who has any experience with these? Does anyone have any suggestions of other makes? Preferably something that isnt going to break the bank.

Thanked: 2591Are you looking for a short symmetrical ground Japanese folding razor?
If so Hoshitombo, Biken, Daishi, Eiko, are some to look for. All Japanese straights are quality, but price will depend on condition.Stefan

Thanked: 1I find that the non folding razors are what is catching my eye. And yes a symmetrical grind is preferable.

Maybe try one of the resident blade smiths. Bruno, ulrich, silverloaf, amongst others.
