Like bob said, i dont think numbers relate to anything regarding the width of the blade. I own a NOS Puma myself, but its a 4/8. Actually, i forgot i own a 15/16. biggest Puma i've seen so far

Well, I wonder about it relating to blade size too. I have a #18 Puma that has a 1 inch blade so a #98 Puma must be either gigantic or thin like string depending on which way the size change goes. Who really knows anyway?
