That is the model number. Beyond that I have no idea. Most of the Pumas I see are 5/8 full hollow. A couple of the models were 1/2 hollow and a few 1/4 hollows. They did come in different sizes but you do not see them that often, but not what I would consider to be rare or hard to find. Not that long ago they were all the buzz. I have had a few in different models and they are very good razors.

The higher the number the better the razor or at least the more expensive it was. Most of the higher end ones I've seen are in the 80s and 90s numberwise.

Puma made razors in all sizes or at least through 7/8s.

That is a PM discussion as it treads so very close to the no evaluations on the forum rule.

Don't stress about it, have had many pumas (all fine razors) believe the numbers relate to the blade size, not the quality of the razor,JMO

I have no idea how the numbers stamped on a Puma relate to anything. I do believe the same care was used in making all their razors and they are all of similar fine "quality" regardless of original selling price. You do pay for higher levels of ornamentation or larger blade sizes which is reflected in the original selling prices. I would think the number is only a model number and not really related directly to quality of manufacture.
