Hi CrisWilson and thank you!
I started collecting about 3 month back.
Started with a shavette, used it about 10 times.
I then got my first shave with a straight razor, loved it!
I have now 8 in total but the two i have posted here which you good ppl have been kind to help me with i wont use, they too good to use and too old.
Just the fact of having straight razors from maybe over 100 years is just mind blowing!
Thank you sooo much!
All the best
Gabe

Hi Wayne!
I wish i could use, would love to but the Mappin & Webb has a crack in one of the scales right at the pin.
The Joseph Allen & Sons razor has loose scales.
I would be too frightened to send them somewhere for repair.
They both need a lot of work on the edge.
All of that can be repaired, many of us, shave daily with razor of that age or older. As said, they are shavers and crying out to be used.
Nice find, welcome to the forum.
There were a lot of great links in this thread. Thanks guys.
Thanks again guys! Really chuffed with my find and your help.
Now if i do decided to get them repaired, honned and cleaned up, any recomondations?
I love my Mappin & Webb, restore it and use it please :D

Hi and thanks Bongo!
Forgot to say the pricing.
The Mappin & Webb cost £25 and the other was £14
Celticcrusader (jamie) does pretty nice work, he is in Wales.
