Calling all ivory experts, or just one really...
Can you fellows tell from these pics if these scales are likely ivory? Doesn't look porous like other bone scales I've seen but some believe it to be polished bone. Doesn't really matter as it's an outstanding razor regardless, but I am curious. What say you?

Reminds of one I have which is walrus ivory. Take some pics into and away from the light at an angle.

The close up pix look like ivory to me. If there are no little divots on the ends, I think they are for blood circulation ? ...... then it is ivory, not bone. If the divots are there, it is bone. AFAIK, but I'm not an expert. Damn nice razor whatever it is.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
