I wondered how long this thread could go, before someone with interest and the right lights (and scale materials) handy was able to give an answer. My experience with black lights was in the 60s, and I only remember fragments of that. There was this "dancer" with some body paint...oh never mind.

I've been MIA for last few days since this post was started...... The black light test was interesting. Kind of a bust...... I thought for sure there would be a difference.
Ya never know til you try it. I'll give it shot when I get a black light. I've got no Ivory scales that I know of.Is it over there or over yonder?

Too bad the light didn't react as hoped but maybe as splender mentioned, the ivory needs to be uncoated to see anything, or maybe there is nothing significant going on either way.
