Default Ivory vs Bone vs fake Ivory under Black light examples needed

I see a lot of posts by people who think they might have Ivory scales. I know the tests are out there and what to look for.....

    BUT.....

Does anyone have pics of what Ivory scales look like under a Black light?

What do bone scales look like under a Black light?

What do Celluloid/plastic fake Ivory scales look like under a Black light?

If there are old posts regarding this topic..... please share.

    Only 1 I found thus far.... http://straightrazorpalace.com/gener...est-ivory.html

Is it over there or over yonder?

If you are talking black light you need to distinguish long wave and short. Most better lamps have both and the results can be totally different.

Hmmmm..... How about just a standard black light you get at the "box" stores.....

Not wanting to get that scientific here.....lol

Just wondering what the differences would be.

That's the thing.... I don't think too many people know what Ivory, bone or plastic scales look like under a black light.

    Some pics would be wonderful.

I don't have anything that is 100% confirmed Ivory.

Anything fake can be seen or tapped upon a tooth. Visual, in hand, should do it.
LOTS of threads can be seen as searching the forum.

Really no need, once you handle these materials, they are easily identify. Add horn and tortoise shell to that as well.

I think it would be cool to see these under a black light..... And also gives an extra source of correctly identifying. Just a thought.

    I don't currently have a black light...... Soon though....soon.

Guys, I just cannot see a need for a blacklite to identify scale materials. Look through the many threads on the subject on the forum. Blacklite seems a waste, I think? YMMV
