Got me curious as well. I have a confirmed ivory scaled Frederick Reynolds out for honing currently. When it gets home I will shoot some black light shots and post em up.
Give me a reason to take it down from the black velvet naked girl painting finally.

    SWEET!

Also if you have bone, could you do a few pics of those too?

I'm just curious to see what they look like.
Is it over there or over yonder?

Sorry, was um, dusting my painting..hehe
Too bad the light didn't react as hoped but maybe as splender mentioned, the ivory needs to be uncoated to see anything, or maybe there is nothing significant going on either way.
    Neat idea regardless.

As it was.... just an idea. Thought it might show something different between the different materials. Ya never know til you try.

Ewwww. I can't even tell how it's still stuck to the wall.. hehe.

And I will post up an example of bone as well for comparison. Just cause I'm curious. I wonder if piano key ivory will show the same. Have an old ivory clad upright so maybe I will shoot that too. That ivory is very thin though but also confirmed as legit.
