Don't polish off the gold on the tang when you get it. It's very easy to do. Some guys will clear coat the gold to save it but I have never had any luck clear coating metal anything to keep it shiny. Hope the deal works out for you.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 3215Value is very subjective, and dependent on what the buyer is willing to pay, after all it is only his opinion that counts.
A quick look at the EBay sold listings, reflects why we avoid the quoting of value, they are all over the map. And then add condition, poor photos and cell rot, a very common condition with Ducks and prices vary even more.
Personally, I stay away from Ducks because of cell rot, so for me, value is very low. There are other brands that I collect that others may not value at all.
