Default what's the most you would pay for this dubl duck pearl duck

Now first and foremost I remember there being some kind of rule about not talking about what you paid for a razor because if someone tells you ur getting ripped it will upset the buyer and the vendor. Which I understand can cause issues because there are vendors on here... At least that's my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong.

this is my situation, I have a neighbor that overheard I loved straight razors and sent me pictures of this razor. Me being a noob and just haven't had the chance to shave with one of these razors before plus the condition it is in looks great! he said to make an offer that is fair since he had been out of the straight razor game and doesn't know the value anymore... There is a small piece of me that says get this razor for as cheap as possible and just rip him off but that just isn't in my morals to do that.

i decided to be honest and tell him the real value of this razor and let him come up with a price himself. I would go on eBay and get the value based on what people were selling them for but I think that eBay isn't a good place for that because people fudge the prices to get uneducated people into paying more... So I thought I would try and get the value here so it's an unbiased opinion.

lastly of course is this is completely against the rules even after explaining what's going on please let me know and I'll delete or ask for this to be deleted...

    as as always thanks guys

You don't have to delete it.

As a matter of fact we like this because it reinforces in folks not to talk valuation.

Just check out our classifieds and Eboy to get an idea what it's worth for similar pieces.

There are enough for sale on Eboy to get a good idea or at least a starting off point.

Just go to the sold listings for the dd you are interested in. Might be enough there to give you a ballpark figure.

Yeah, if you do a search for an item it will bring up current items. On the left side of the page scroll down until you get to 'completed listings'. Click on that.

You'll possibly see what the equivalent item actually sold for ...... or didn't sell for. The sold price totals are in green next to the listing. Don't go by what people are asking. They may, or may not represent a 'good' price.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

And be sure to compare a duck to a duck. Goldedge to goldedge. round nose to round, worn blade to worn blade. Mint NOS is not the same thing as a used blade with hone wear!
