Very worn but it's the only one I see since I'm interested in cutlery (and I live in France). So I bought it, a bit expensive compared to its condition, but I could not let it go

A recently bought razor. I was not sure that it was really Damascus before the purchase, but after a microscopic examination, I am now 99 percent sure. The drawing is random, a whiter metal forms the drawing, it is always present despite the grinding. We see that the razor is not industrial and high quality (it's still a sign). No indication of the cutler's name Lussan à St Sauge (the razor could be made by a specialist cutler and branded with the punch of the dealer). I just find "Jean Lussan surgeon at the hospice of St Sauge", (maybe a member of the family.The photos are not very clear but we can see the damask, revealed only on the edge, the rest of the blade is mirror polished
